How to prepare for Cabinet Installation

1. Clean the Space

Make sure that where the cabinet is going to be installed is clean and the old cabinet has been completely removed.

The walls should be even and holes should be covered. All painting and plastering should be done before the cabinet is installed.

3. Electronics

All electrical appliances should be turned off and removed and outlets should be switched off.

4. Kitchen Utensils

All kitchen utensils like plates, spoons, forks, knives, etc should be removed to protect them from breaking, and dust.

5. Appliances

Natural gas or propane gas should be disconnected.

6. Children and Pets

Children and pets should be safely kept away from the workspace because of the noise and heavy equipment used during cabinet installation.

7. Waste Disposal

A space for waste should be provided for the contractors.

What to Expect During a Cabinet Installation

Visit From The Contractor

Before the job starts the contractor will come to access and take the measurement of the work site and answer any questions you may have concerning the cabinet installation.

Noise

There will be a lot of noise due to the cutting, sawing, and hammering so it is advised that kids and pets should visit a relative or friend or be kept in a safe place.

Mess

It is advised that your floors, vents, and furniture be covered with a plastic sheet to prevent dust residue, and space for waste should also be provided.
